Rat Model
Summary Description
The programme makes students familiar with the experimental research of the Department of Animal Physiology at the State University of Groningen (Netherlands). All studies presented in this programme are studies on the rat. Most of these rats are provided with a permanent heart catheter (see the video film Heart cannulation) by which blood samples are taken frequently for analysis of several parameters (see video film Dose-effect relationship between insulin and blood glucose).
